2nd job

When talking to one of my students recently, I asked how her mom was doing and how her job was going.

She said "Mom is good; she has two jobs now.".

"Really? She must have been awfully busy this summer. What does she do for her second job?"

"She kind of plans parties, and runs them too."

"Like, a catering business?"

"No, not really."

Innocent and oblivious, the student continued- "Mom said 'these types of parties would be a lot of fun for Bachelorette parties'."

I did all I could to keep from laughing my ass off.
